Someone Has Changed My Password For An Email I Set Up? Help!!!

I set up an email to be forwarded to my private email to gain access with a more professional email address. All questions to be forwarded to me. I just received notice that a person from my office has accessed my email and changed the password. Can they do that to my intellectual property? Thanks
