How To Level And Put The Filter Door Back On After The Grille?

I need to level this new unit in a rental property. I got the instructions, but first, the base grille did not come off as easily or in the manner the diagram shows. It catches on the door to the filter, whether it is open, as shown, or closed. I had to force it to get the grille off. The 2"x4" door to the filter popped off, so now I need instructions on how to refit it in place. Also the model instructions say to use a 1/2" hex wrench to adjust the wheels up or down, which I took, but he nuts are smaller, so I did not have a smaller wrench with me and had to go get one. So I have not yet gone back to finish adjusting the level.
