Model # Wdt780saem1 Whirlpool Dishwasher.

I have a Whirlpool dishwasher, model # WDT780saem1, and the "sanitized" light is flashing instead of "glowing", and the dishes are not getting dry enough. Does this mean that the heat element is probably bad or is there something else it could be? Thanks

That LED will flash if the dishwasher detects the temperature requirements for sanitization were not met. If this occurs it is a clear indication the dishes were not sanitized. Check the water temperature by running the hot water for about 30 seconds. The water temperature should be at the minimum temperature of 120°F (49°C) stated in the Owner's Manual.
