Dishwasher Shut Down

Hi, our dishwasher completely shut down mid wash cycle. the bottom is full of water and will not turn on. It's completely dead. We tried the breaker - nothing. Opened the panel underneath but can't see anything/ I'm afraid to mess with electrical. Please help!!
