Ice Maker Is Producing Ice In The Off Position.

Our ice maker is producing ice in the off position, when the bucket is removed, and when the sensors are covered with tape. We had a company come out for repair, they didn't know why! Our next step is to disconnect water line. The refrigerator is only 4 years old.

A possibly bad Ice Maker optic control board or a issue with the refrigerator control board. I suggest you request service from your local Whirlpool service center if you had nod.
