2012 Whirlpool Model Ev250nxtq 01 Freezer Alarm

I have a 2012 Whirlpool Model EV250NXTQ 01 freezer. Last week the temperature alarm sounded and I had Sears come out. They replaced an evaporator fan. They told me the alarm would shut off after it reached proper temperature. The alarm has never shut off after a week but the food seems to be frozen. Is there something I could do to check the alarm. I have moved the switch to the off and test positions. Is there a battery that could be weak?

No the alrm isn't powered by a battery. Go to page 10 for the alarm switch settings.
