Wp Freezer Ev188nyws Defrost Coil Hot
Hi, I have the WP Freezer EV188NYWS that we bought in 2012. I just noticed when I opened the freezer that the defrost coil was making loud popping noises. You can actually see it glowing thru the vent cover and can feel heat coming thru it. Very hot heat. I've never noticed this before. We figured out that the heat is making the condensation on the hot coil thus causing the popping and crackling sounds. What I'm concerned with is the intense heat it's throwing off. Is this normal or a problem with the unit? There's nothing blocking any of the air flow vents or the coil. Please advise. Thank you!
