Cannot Remove Icemaker On Whirlpool Fridge Model #ed5lvaxwq
I push the side button and lift up on the icemaker like it says to do but the icemaker will not dislodge....if fills like it is still conneceted somewhere.

No there are no extra releases. I had this problem because ice melted and refroze in the bottom of the mechanism. Even after I had removed all of the cube ice I still could release but saw the problem. Leaving the door open I poured hot water in the container until the ice melted. In my case the flap on the front door where the ice comes out was not seating because the hinge pin came loose. Warm air from the room was going up the opening and letting the ice melt and refreeze.
