Hi @cawan80!

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing - I know how unpleasant such thing could be, so I would suggest few things you can try in this situation.

First, on your Windows PC check if the drive is visible in BIOS and Disk Management. If it is and it appears as Unallocated space then you just have to partition and format it there, and then you can use it in your PC. Here's a KB article showing how to do that:

If it doesn't show up in BIOS then try the basic troubleshooting steps:

1. Connect the drive to a different USB port of the computer, and if possible with a different USB cable.

2. If the issue continues, plug it in another computer and see if it will be recognized properly - that's the best way to determine if the problem is with the HDD, or with the PC.

In case it does appear in any of these steps then follow the KB article to partition and format it.
