Message 'format The Disk' Keeps Appearing
When I use WD external hard drive (model: WDBAAF0020HBK-NECS) on my Gateway laptop, it keeps bringing a message, "You need to format the desk in drive H: before you can use it. Do you want to format it?". I cancel it and it keeps popping up every five seconds. I can not use the disk.

It must be because of the anti-virus system currently working on your laptop.
You need to configure its setting or else do what it sugests because may be your laptop is at risk with some kind of virus in that disk of yours.
But if it contains something that worthy, then consult your service provider... Only they can help..
