Drivers
I've got a A279;A279;WDME3200TE and I want to use it in the school computer but it doesn't work. The computer doesn't recognise the disk and "says" it hasn't got the drivers to use it.

What operating system are you using?

The length of the cable can seriously affect this. Try using as short a cable as you can find. Also plug directly into a USB port on the main board and not through a USB hub (like on a video monitor). USB hubs may not supply enough juice to run the drive.

One item I saw out on the Internet is that some of these drives (the 070A version) is set up for use on a Macintosh, not a PC. You might try it on a Mac just to see what happens.
