Usb Port Broken
My WD20000H2U usb port internals got crimpted when putting the plug into it . now I cant connect it to retrieve the data . How would I best go about solving this situation ? Can I open it up , cut off the end just solder the wife from the usb cable directly to the interal port ? I need the data on this hard drive and cant get it now. please help .

The easiest thing to do would be to remove the hard drive and put it in a new enclosure.
