Cleaning the battery compartment following these steps:
  • Put on disposable protective gloves (nitrile, rubber, or other material).
  • Open the battery compartment containing the damaged/leaking batteries.
  • Carefully remove the damaged batteries and place each battery in a separate sealable plastic bag.
  • Use a disposable towel to brush away any loose corrosion (white solid).
  • Place a small amount of white vinegar into a small container such as a cup or bowl.
  • Using a cotton swab, moisten the tip with vinegar and carefully wipe the corroded contacts. Repeat as necessary to remove all of the white residue.
  • Using a fresh cotton swab, moisten the tip with water and wipe the contacts again to remove the vinegar residue.
  • Dry the contacts with a disposable towel or fresh cotton swab and place new batteries into the compartment.
  • If that doesn't work replace the display here or the battery holder that is similar here.

Have to follow the below steps:

1. Put on disposable protective gloves and remove the battery slowly

2. Make sure to use the cloth to dispose the dusts/dents

3. Clean the battery using the Vaccum if required.

4. Apply the distilled water which required level.

5. Close the cap tightly and keep it on charging
