Can We Extend The Idea Of Uber So As To Make Everyone An Uber Driver

I think we can make everyone a Uber driver, suppose I am travelling from Point A to B and in that distance, and I can drop someone between that, so what if before leaving point A, I check my App( especially designed for such purpose) to look if someone needs a lift and I can pick that person and drop him/her to the nearest Bus Stop, and in return earn some money which would be less than the normal fare for the same service provided by Uber. We can also connect the Uber app to Facebook to improve Social interactions
