My Urc Mx-980 Has Been Freezing

My URC MX-980 has been freezing. I can take the battery out and wait for awhile and put back in, and it will work again. But it will only work for awhile before freezing again. What is the problem and is there a way to fix it?

Seems that the battery is near dead, and a new battery should solve. Otherwise, consider the suggestions at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/897375/Urc-Mx-980.html?page=18#manual.
