Troy Bilt Tb30 Neighborhood Riding Mower Seems To Be Overheating

I have a Troybilt tb30 riding mower. It has only been used approx. 5 times on a small 1/5 acre lot. So very few hours on it. Ran pretty well on first couple of mows. But now after about 15 mins into mowing the mower will flutter a little then shut off. Seems to me its overheating. Because it starts again after about an hour of sitting. And again runs for about 15 mins then shuts down again. Mower is extremely clean with no grass clippings. I changed the oil , air filter, spark plug, and fuel filter. Still same problem. I have seen many complaints in regards to this same problem. But nobody has an answer how to fix it. I have spoken to someone and they stated they had a similar problem with a different mower. And they replace some electronic sensor located around the spark plug. The sensor would shut off the mower for no reason. They stated the sensor was bad and had to be replaced. Any idea if that is the problem? If so, what is the sensor called? thanks.
