'97 Celica Gt Shifting Issue

Having issues shifting '97 Celica GT into 1st gear when at a complete stop. I will need to go into neutral, release clutch a couple times, then it will eventually go into 1st gear. Shifting into all other gears works just fine. Car has 137,000 miles and on original clutch. Time for a new clutch??
