Tv - 32sl41ou - Video Input Issue

I am unable to use my DVD player with this television. When I connect the yellow video cable it says "No video", the only input that produced a picture was the green one, which is in black and white and not clear.  I have used the DVD player on my old TV for a year; I connected it to a neighbour's TV, and it worked fine.  What is wrong with this Toshiba?
