How Do I Fix A Blurry Out Of Focus Picture On My Toshiba 50hm67?
I just replaced the lamp & now the picture is blurry. What things can I try myself to fix this issue?

are you saying it was working great and you put in a new lamp and now it's blurred? you did nothing other than open the door, pull the lamp, re-install lamp and door? it hasn't been setting and dust has had a chance to settle on the lens? you did put in a Toshiba original lamp. nobody has removed the engine or opened the screen section.
My sisters husband took a can of air & sprayed the dust out where the lamp goes after he removed it. The tv also sat for like a month with no lamp in it. I think the lamp is a generic brand but is brand new & clean.

this is a dlp and the focus is set and shouldn't change. all you need is a good quality HD signal to check focus.

I suspect the lens is covered with the dust broken loose. Remove the back lower cover and you will find a small cover being held by a couple screws that needs to be removed to get to the lens. There are some wires that goes through this cover, so you cannot miss it. If you put the lamp door in place you can turn it on and you will see the dust easier. take a micro-fiber cloth and clean it gently, there is a coating on the lens that can be rubbed off.
This lens points to a mirror that sometimes needs to be cleaned. If you remove a couple screws holding the front screen in place (take 6 or 7 screws around one of the top corners) then you can pull back the screen slightly so you can see the mirror.
