Tv Doesn't Work
power surge. is there a fuse that could be blown?

There is a component on the power supply board next to the AC input fuse that senses if the voltage exceeds te normal range, and it shorts out causing the fuse to open thus protecting the rest of the set from damage. Replacing the fuse will only cause it to blow until this shorted component is removed first. Some people just cut it out of the circuit, but then this feature has been removed and another power surge will likely prove fatal to the boards inside this set. You can take this power supply board to a shop and ask them to rebuild the AC input section, or replace it (see above)
