go to menu on the toshiba remote. you will see five symbols on the top on you tv screen,. go to the square with the 3 lines across it that the color stream symbol click on that then scroll to the bottom and click on av/input, change that to video. after that you should have color when you play a dvd movie. make sure when you press imput on the tv remote that its on video and not hdmi or ant/cable.
