Replacing The Cd Drive

How do I get the cd drive out and replace it?

Are you sure your dvd player is bad. If not go here for firmware update: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=434996&rpn=PS113U&modelFilter=1135-S1551&selCategory=2756709&selFamily=1073768663

If it is out of warranty and you are mechanically inclined, remove a/c & battery, use anti static band. You will have to remove the screws from the back of laptop. Lay your touch pad back over keyboard. remove necessary interior screws, carefully remove ide cable, ribbon connectors are fragile. Lift out dvd and replace.

Do all this at your own risk! I'm just providing info.
