Have A Sidekick Phone. Cannot Receive Any Texts From One Of My Contacts.

If I text one of my contacts, it will not show as sent. Also I do not receive their messages. No info in manual as to how to block or unblock messages. This problem is a mystery and started only recently. How do I fix this?
