I Have A Zte Majesty. The Notification Message Rings Every 10 Mins With No Text.

I have set the notification message for incoming text messages and it works fine EXCEPT it ring in 10 (or so) minute intervals when there is NO text message coming in. Is there a setting somewhere for me to stop this from happening when I a not receiving a text from anyone?
