Use $30 Plan With Android Smartphone.

I would like to switch carriers to Straighttalk and use their $30 plan (call & text 30MB data) but use it one of their Android smartphone like Optimus Q. I only need call and text and would like to be able to use Straighttalk's Android's superior virtual keyboarding for texting instead of their flip phones that are terrible for texting. When I need Internet/Data, I will connect to my Wi-Fi at home or WiFi hotspot. Why won't Straighttalk allow using Android phones with thier $30 plans? If they won't allow this then I will stick with T-Mobile as they have introduced new Pre-Paid plans that are more affordable. Please do not give me one of your lame "canned" responses. Some people want to me able to use Android phones with a text & call plan. I do not what to buy a flip phone or cheap phone that is terrible for texting.
