Had To Cancel Tickets In March, What To Do Now?

My husband had a massive heart attack followed by open heart surgery.  He is healing slowly and still can't fly.  We have to use our tickets by September.  Can we get a refund?  Do you need a doctors letter to prove our situation?

The airline will not give you a refund, even if you have a medical situation.  However, when you cancelled your ticket, you were assigned a voucher that expires in September-- this means that you have to book your flight by September, not necessarily travel in September.  You can book a future flight in hopes you will be able to go by then.
