How Do You Set The Default Input Selector To The Correct Mode?

my str-dh-750 is connected to a samsung smart tv. the audio works when the receiver is set to the sat/cat mode. when I start the tv and receiver, the receiver input starts in the sat/catv mode but changes to the tv mode after about 3 seconds. How do I keep the receiver in the sat/catv mode?
