Bluetooth Phone Problems

When I place a call through the bluetooth from my droid incredible 2 the person on the other end can't hear me unless I am yelling. I have changed the mic volumn and the echo, but it is still terrible. I've also tried connecting a blackberry and an iphone and it is the same problem. Is there anyway to dramatically increase the volumn on the other end of my calls? thanks nick
