Need Trouble Codes&tech Info Sony Kv-32hv600 Tv Any Help Out There?
Requests for more information
I doubt you will find the service manual anywhere on line, and although I have access to this manual, there is no way I can copy and paste it to this forum. The best way to approach this problem is for you to tell us what you have going on, and we can maybe steer you to the faulty component. things like the indicator blinks such and such times, the picture does this then the set does this, etc.
Sony is very clear about their manuals being confidential, not to say that there isn't copies out there floating around.

Response submitted September 12th, 2011 5:04 PMHello, Thank You for responding to my request.
Symptoms: when tv is plugged in you can here what sounds like a relay being energized to initiate start up of tv. This is normal, but unit does not turn on, stand by indicator not on. When first plugged in, the stand by indicator lamp flashes randomly while tv is trying to start, then goes into trouble code sequence flashing 7 times and then repeating 7 flash codes. A few times it displayed a code of 6 flashes, but almost always 7 flashes. The screen does notm illuminate at all. A couple of days ago I powered it up and it turned on and functioned normally. I played a DVD for about an hour and shut it down. It would not start again, and still will not work. If you need more info please let me know.
Thank You very much. Rokcney.
P.S. I am an elevator mechanic local 18, so I know a bit about electronics.
Response submitted September 12th, 2011 7:23 PMI got your response and will investigate. I suppose the boards are labeled, but when I was in there I did not notice clear labeling of boards. Can you help with location of the D board?
Thanks, Rokcney
The D board is the one on the left side when looking at it from the rear. The fly-back transformer is on it with the big red lead going to the picture tube, and it'd located in one corner of the board. Then along the same side of the board is the two big capacitors near the other corner. then from those capacitor look toward the corner (opposite from the Fly-back) and you will first see the transformer I mentioned before and just on the far side you will see the four lgged rectifier D6523 and just past it you will see the capacitor C6556.

Intermittent shutdown with a 6 or 7 blinks
[Primary Symptom Code: 2111 ]
Cause
Last year replaced IC8002. Was heat sensitive. Now same issue 6 blinks. Used a hair dryer and got it on. Had vstop and AKB/IK errors in the self check. Cleared the menu. Still 6 / 7 blinks. Pulled caps and all tested except C6556. ESR meter shows bad but cap meter shows OK. Replaced it and works great.
C6556 is located near the fullwave bridge rectifier D6524 which was fed from the transformerT6502 on the D board.
Solution
Replace Electrolytic C6556 33uf/160V Intermittent ESR meter showed defective. Capacitance meter showed good.
