This error usually is generated because there is an issue with the contacts on the Memory Stick. If you have another Memory Stick to test, try it. If you only have the one Memory Stick, check the contacts and rub them gently with a pencil eraser if necessary. Insert and reinsert the card several times to see if this clears the error. If you are still having the issue after this, and you get the same result with another Memory Stick the camera may need service so give Sony support@ 1-860-272-2100 for assistance.
