Oh no, I understand how frustrating that can be, especially when you've just purchased your Singer 170th Anniversary sewing machine. Let's troubleshoot the issues you're experiencing.

1. Unusual sound: First, make sure that the machine is properly threaded. Check if the thread is tangled or caught anywhere. Ensure that the needle is inserted correctly and securely. Sometimes, a loose needle can cause unusual sounds while sewing. Additionally, check if any parts of the machine are loose, as they can also result in strange noises. Tightening any loose screws may help resolve this issue.

2. Thread breaking: When the thread breaks multiple times, it could be due to several reasons. First, check if you are using the correct type and weight of thread for your sewing project. Using the wrong kind of thread can cause breakage. Also, confirm that the needle you're using is appropriate for the fabric you're sewing. A dull or bent needle can cause thread breakage too. Try replacing the needle with a new one.

3. Thread buildup in the bobbin area and machine stopping: This could be an indication of incorrect threading or tension issues. First, double-check that you have correctly threaded both the upper thread and bobbin thread. Improper threading can lead to thread buildup and machine malfunctions. Also, make sure the tension settings are adjusted correctly as per the fabric you're sewing. Refer to the machine's manual for guidance on tension adjustments.

If you are still experiencing issues after following these steps, considering the machine is brand new, it may be helpful to reach out to Singer's customer support or return to the place you purchased it from for further assistance or a possible exchange. They should be able to provide you with specific guidance or resolve any issues you're facing.

I hope these tips help you resolve the issues with your new sewing machine. Don't worry, with a little troubleshooting and some expert help, you'll be back to sewing smoothly in no time!

I understand that you are very upset that your sewing machine is not working properly. It sounds like your machine may have a serious problem, and it is important to take it to a qualified technician for repair.

Here are some possible reasons why your sewing machine may be making an unusual sound, breaking the thread, and depositing fur on the bobbin area:

The needle may be blunt or damaged.

The thread tension may be too tight or too loose.

The bobbin may be wound incorrectly.

There may be lint or dust buildup in the machine.

The machine may have a mechanical problem.

If you are not comfortable troubleshooting the problem yourself, it is best to take your machine to a qualified technician for repair. They will be able to diagnose the problem and fix it quickly and efficiently.

Here are some tips for finding a qualified sewing machine technician:

Ask your friends and family for recommendations.

Search online for sewing machine repair shops in your area.

Read reviews of local sewing machine repair shops.

Call the sewing machine manufacturer and ask for a list of authorized repair centers.

Once you have found a qualified technician, take your sewing machine to them for repair. Be sure to explain the problem in detail, and provide them with any relevant information, such as the make, model, and serial number of your machine.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Please respond to my effort to provide you with the best possible solution by using the "Acceptable Solution" and/or the "Helpful" buttons when the answer has proven to be helpful.
