Problem With My Touch Pad Not Working

The touchpad stops working intermittently. when I'm able to set the time, which is rare it will start cycling through the auto cook mode AC-1 to AC-5 and it sounds like a pinball machine. when it goes into the what I call the pinball mode none of the touch pad inputs work. I suspect there is a bad processor and it's not worth fixing when you can purchase a new one for $99. Please share any ideas or possible fixes. Even when I unplug and replug it in it defaults to the : 0 mode but the pads will not respond to input.

To determine if the touchpad and control panel are defective, try pressing each of the buttons on the control panel. If some of the buttons respond correctly while others don't, replace the touchpad and control panel. Most likely not worth repairing if the panel is defective.
