Vertical Stripes
After power down for few hours, monitor shows vertical stripes and misregistered colors

While powered off??? I'll assume you mean after turning it back on. How old is it? If new then it's defective, get it replaced. If older then it's probably dying. You should expect to be replacing it soon. You can replace the parts, most are availabler on eBay, but without knowing if it's the LCD or the circuitry you'll be swapping out blindly. Might as well buy new.
