Greetings - I would suggest you download your printer's Operating Guide on the link below for closer referrence on how to the 'Print and Stapple' feature - (look up the subject from the Guide's Table of Contants) -

you didnt follow the installation instructions. the final step said "Now you will have to open the print driver to install addition features"

you are done...to use stapler(if present) select something to print, then select prefernces..on right side you will see stapler (and punch) if installed.
