If the cord has failed then a dis-assembly is required. If it has been cut off then it may have been because there could be a fault with the unit. The power cord comes integral with the vacumn as it is fitted in manufacture. It should be a simple dismantling job providing you take photos or make notes as you take it apart.you may have to fit new connectors inside.
