External Drive Isn't Recognized

My Seagate GoFlex HD isn't being recognized on my iMac now. It was. I have lots of data stored on it, as well as my Time Machine backups. The power light comes on, but not the other lights in the middle on the bottam front beside the power light on the left front. How can I troubleshoot it? It's plugged in to power, and into the iMac USB port.
