Battery Fail
I'm having trouble with my Sanyo VPC-T700. I know it's old, but I like it. My battery will no longer hold a charge after 11 years, I guess it's worn out. No problem, I bought a new battery. The first one would not take a charge. The light came on RED when I connected the cable to charge it. I thought it was the battery, so I contacted the battery seller and they just sent me another one. The second one does the same thing. The old battery will accept a charge in as much as when I connect the cable to charge it the light comes on GREEN indicating that the battery is taking the charge. However once completed charging I can take maybe only a dozen pictures or about one minute of video and the battery is dead.Any suggestion as to why the new battery will not accept the charge? The new battery has the exact same specifications as the old as well as looking identical.Thanks,Gary Fowler

The camera is probably remembering the status of the old battery. You will probably need to discharge the battery quite a few times and then fully charge it again. Allow it to cool before recharging.
If that does not succeed you may have to take it t a camera shop for them to try an offer solution.
