If you are trying to take them from your computer to your phone or SD, the easiest way I do it, without having to use a program like Windows media player, is to hook up your phone with a usb data cable for your phone.  And open the file where your songs are, open the music file on your phone (go to My Computer and look for your phone connection and find your SD card, and find the music file in it) and drag and drop the songs.  You can also use Windows Media Player or iTunes, but it isn't necessary.  Just make sure your songs are in the mp3 format. If you don't have a data cord, you can find one HERE.
