Fax/tele Scared Point For Scx-5312f.

I can phone out okay. When scx-5312F is plugged into phone point the incoming calls get a fax beep coming through on the phone line. Can you suggest why this is occuring and is there a setting on the scx-5312F that can stop this. It's as if its trying to receive a fax when the incoming calls come through.
