French Door: Why Are The Refrigerator And Freezer Not Cooling?

If the refrigerator and freezer are not cooling, verify/perform the following:

• Verify the appliance is plugged in properly. If it is not, remove the plug from the socket and then re-insert it. If the plug is properly inserted, remove the plug and try plugging another item into the same socket. If the newly plugged in item does not work, try resetting the circuit breaker for that outlet.
• Lower the temperature control settings in the refrigerator and freezer. Let the refrigerator run for several hours and then re-check the temperature.
• If your refrigerator is in direct sunlight or located near a heat source, move the refrigerator if you can. If you cannot move it, lower the temperature controls in your refrigerator and freezer.
• Move the refrigerator away from any walls or surfaces that it may be in contact with. The minimum clearance required between the back and sides of the refrigerator and the wall is one inch.
• Verify the refrigerator is not overfilled and that none of the circulation vents at the back of the fridge and freezer compartments are covered.
• Verify that the condenser coils are not covered with dust. You can clean the coils easily with a rag or vacuum cleaner using a brush attachment.
• Verify that the unit is not in Cooling Off/Demo Mode. When the unit is in Cooling Off mode, the display will read "OF OF" and the unit will not cool. If the unit is in Cooling Off mode, Touch and hold the top two buttons on the left side of the display panel, simultaneously, for 5 seconds.

If none of these actions resolve the no cooling condition, service is required.
