What Does The Tree Lights Flashing On The Front Of The Television Mean?
TV will not stay on and there is a red light and 2 green lights flashing on the front of the television

This happens when the lamp doesn't light up or the lamp shuts off like they do when they get weak.
This doesn't always mean the lamp is bad, but if it's been a while since it was changed that would be the obvious choice. BP96-01472A part number in stock for $150 here: http://www.andrewselectronics.com/welcome.aspx
If there is a loud squeal like a bad fan, then suspect a bad color wheel. this will stop the lamp from starting up and cause the same symptom.
