Check Fan Message
I have the Samsung HLS4676SX XAA and I currently have a message on my screen the says "Check the Fan #2". I can find nothing in my manual or anywhere about this message. The fan by the lamp seems to be working, but the message won't go away.
What is happening and what can I do?

here's a source where you can get the DMD fan and the lamp fan. I think that the two fans have similar plugs and they can be swapped where they plug onto the little circuit board (located near the DMD fan). If you reverse the fan connections and the error changes to "fan 1" then one of these two fans is bad (usually it's running too slow). If the error remains the same "fan 2" then it is not one of these two fans. On some sets there is a fan next to where a "cable card" slides into the "signal assembly", this fan gets clogged a lot more often, and this could be the failure. Finally, I have seen the circuit board that's sensing the fan speed (the one the fans plug into) fails (could be a capacitor) and sends a false signal to the microprocessor.
