We Have The Samsung Dlp Tv Hl67a510, It's Only 5 Years Old And We Are On Lamp #3

The first lamp lasted from 2008-2011, we bought the 2nd lamp from Ebay and it lasted from 1/2011 - 8/2013, we just replaced the lamp recently and it's shutting off on it's own; sometimes after only a few moments, but sometimes it will stay on for hours. I read that the TV has 4 fans. I'm not sure if I should first buy another lamp directlly from Samsung or try to find all the lamps and replace them. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Just my experience with a DLP I had similar lamp life problems. The 1st lamp lasted about 18-24 mo. with varying lifecycles on the others through the years. Yours is 4 years younger than mine but eventual the light engine went & it wasn't worth buying that part to repair it. Over the years the money spent on lamps would have probably paid 50-60% of a new TV. Just wanted to pass that along. The only non-oem lamps that had some longevity I bought from ShopJimmy. As to the strange run times it's either the lamp or not secured in the connection or a power supply starting to fail. Good luck!
