Rinse Aid

The rinse aid compartment was filled weeks ago, however, it still indicates that it is full, despite numerous uses over that period of time. In fact, when you remove the cap, you can see that it is still full. Apparently, rinse aid is not being used. The indicator light on control panel (*) is on, indicating a refill needed. Unit is not in delay mode. Please advise.
