Samsung Dv448agw Stopped Heating

A few days ago my Samsung DV448AGW stopped working. The control panel lit up and was counting down as if working. My husband determined it was a broken belt. he replaced the belt, a drum roller and the heat vent. Now the dryer is turning on / drum rotating - but now is not heating up. Could this be the heating element?
