Samsung Dv210agw/xaa Gas Dryer Buzzing/rattling Sound
Our Samsung DV210AGW/XAA gas dryer has begun making a rattling/buzzing sound intermittently during the drying cycle.
The noise lasts about 3 tp 5 seconds and sounds like a cross between mechanical (two metal parts vibrating against each other) and electrical (arcing).
I called Samsung support and they said this was the gas solenoid and was working as designed. I find that hard to believe. My guess is Samsung found a poor design that they don't feel is dangerous and are telling customers not to worry about it.
Any thoughts?

I have a DV419AGW and it's making a similar noise -- only it lasts for at least a few minutes before stopping. It will occur many times throughout the entire drying cycle.
Samsung said it's the gas valve solenoid and that this is normal. I told the CSR that this noise was so loud we could hear it in another room and that this simply cannot be normal. With some perseverance, Samsung agreed to send out a technician to resolve the problem.
There are other reports of this problem on the internet. Just Google "Samsung gas valve solenoid." If you politely push the Samsung CSR to send out a service person they will escalate the incident to the service department.
