40 Volt Trimmer Odor
While using my 40 volt trimmer for about 10 minutes (it is a couple of years old) I smelled something-like a burning smell. I turned the trimmer upside down to check the line and saw a little smoke coming out and could smell an odor. What is the cause and is it fixable or has the trimmer reached the end of its' life (leaked out lubricant?)

Unburnt fuel of a string trimmer could build up in the muffler and may produce smoke and odor when the trimmer runs at half throttle. Low-quality oil or the improper combination of fuel-to-oil may also .be at fault.
