Ryobi P770 Does Not Turn On.

Has worked fine until now. Hadn't used it for a few weeks now won't turn on. Tried multiple batts all freshly charged and worked in other tools.Since day 1 switch seemed hard to slide. When switch is moved to on position a very slight click sound can be heard. Click sound cannot be heard when batt is not installed. Unit has very little hrs of use only around home. Never abused or dropped

This is a copy of the user guide. Upon reading I saw that there is a float switch which is fitted inside the unit. This could be your problem as if it has come adrift it will think that the water is too high or the vacumn section is full.

Also it refers to the fact that 'Do not run unit while collection container lid is unsecured"

Hope that helps.
