Possibly a faulty battery or oxidization on the battery contacts can cause this. Check that the battery terminals are clean and free of any corosion. Recharge the battery to manufacturers specifications. If you have a spare try that. If none of these solve the issue an internal breakage could be an issue and a service center visit will be the answer. This is a link to the handbook if you do not have one.
