Yes, it is possible to get a replacement filter for the filter inside the basket right before air goes into the motor of a Ridgid WD1680 vacuum. The filter is called the pre-motor filter, and it is designed to trap large particles of dirt and debris before they reach the motor. This helps to protect the motor from damage and prolong its lifespan.

There are a few different brands of pre-motor filters that are compatible with the Ridgid WD1680. Some popular brands include:

Ridgid

Shop-Vac

Housmile

IOYIJOI

You can find pre-motor filters for the Ridgid WD1680 at most hardware stores and online retailers. The cost of a replacement filter will vary depending on the brand and the retailer.

To replace the pre-motor filter on a Ridgid WD1680, follow these steps:

Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet.

Remove the dust cup from the vacuum cleaner.

Locate the pre-motor filter. It is a pleated paper filter that is located inside the basket.

Remove the pre-motor filter by carefully pulling it out of the basket.

Inspect the pre-motor filter for signs of wear and tear. If the filter is dirty or damaged, replace it with a new one.

Insert the new pre-motor filter into the basket.

Replace the dust cup onto the vacuum cleaner.

Plug the vacuum cleaner back into the power outlet.

The pre-motor filter should be replaced every 3 to 6 months, or more often if the vacuum cleaner is used heavily. Replacing the pre-motor filter regularly will help to keep your vacuum cleaner running smoothly and efficiently.
